23rd February 1951 - 20th September 1995 A loving wife to Ray and a beautiful and caring mother to Matthew and Catherine. She bravely fought for 4 years and all the time she was undergoing her treatment she never once lost her beautiful smile or even asked ‘why me’. Her precious grandchildren, who she sadly never got to meet, know all about their special 'Momma Shirley' Shirley was a dedicated and inspirational Reception class teacher and loved and cared for every child in her care. She lost her fight against ovarian cancer at just 44 years of age. She is thought of every single day and is very sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
